I just downloaded this and was playing around with it. It has some cool features, but I am just learning how to use. Can't help but wish I had something like this 35 years ago when taking Statics and Dynamics.

An excellent free program that allows building of animated 2D mechanical simulations. It is basically a mechanical sketchpad capable of serious analysis, and can export as dxf. Certain types of mechanisms are still beyond its capability, but it just keeps getting better all the time.
